Despite the Kerala govt’s order to not conduct classes during summer vacation, the education department received complaints against schools violating rules.

NEW DELHI: The Kerala Government directed educational officers to check the complaints being filed against schools violating the state’s order to stop classes during summer vacation.
“All government, aided and unaided schools at the primary, secondary, higher secondary, vocational higher secondary levels should not conduct any classes during the summer vacations,” a circular dated April 28, 2017 read. “Yet, we have received many complaints claiming that schools are violating this circular released by the general education department,” the state government noted.

“In this context, educational officers should ensure that the circular cited above is followed and if there is any violation of the said circular the responsible officers are to take strict action,” it said.
As per the report, the education department of Kerala government had asked all government aided and unaided schools at the primary, secondary, higher secondary, vocational higher secondary levels schools to stop conducting classes during the summer vacation. In Kerala, summer vacation began on April 1 and will continue till May 30.
After the education department received numerous complaints that schools were violating the government’s decision, it asked all educational officers to take strict action in case of any violation.

In other news, the tentative Kerala SSLC and DHSE result dates 2023 have been announced. A Pareekshbhavan official told Careers360 that it will declare the Kerala SSLC results on May 20 and, DHSE plus two results 2023 tentatively on May 25.
