Kerala NEET UG counselling 2024 provisional rank list out at cee.kerala.gov.in; tie breaking rule

NEW DELHI: The Commission for Entrance Examinations (CEE) has issued the provisional rank list for medical and ayurveda courses based on National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2024 scores. Candidates who submitted the online applications and NEET scores can check the provisional rank list through the official website, cee.kerala.gov.in.

The Kerala NEET UG 2024 provisional rank list includes details such as essential candidates' names, application number, Kerala medical merit rank, NEET 2024 roll number, All India Rank (AIR), and NEET score. Based on NEET 2024 score candidates will now be called for the Kerala 2024 counselling process.

Such candidates will be required to fill in their choices of colleges and courses online. On the basis of the state merit rank, choices filled by the candidate, seat availability in a particular college, and reservation criteria, Kerala NEET 2024 admission will be granted.

Kerala Medical Rank List 2024: Tie-breaking rule

Candidates with the same NEET 2024 score will have their ties broken using the inter-se merit method as outlined by CEE Kerala. The tie-breaking criteria are detailed below.

• Higher Marks in Biology: Candidates with higher marks in Biology will be ranked higher.

• Higher Marks in Chemistry: If the tie remains, the candidate with higher marks in Chemistry will be given preference.

• Fewer Incorrect Responses: If the tie still persists, the candidate with fewer incorrect responses will be placed above other.

The Kerala NEET UG counselling is conducted for candidates seeking admissions to MBBS, BDS, and various other medical courses such as Ayurveda (BAMS), Homoeopathy (BHMS), Siddha (BSMS), and Unani (BUMS). Additionally, it will cover allied courses including Agriculture (BSc (Hons) Agri), Forestry (BSc (Hons) Forestry), Veterinary (BVSc & AH), Fisheries (BFSc), Co-operation & Banking (BSc (Hons)), Climate Change & Environmental Science (BSc (Hons)), and Biotechnology (B.Tech, under KAU).
