HSCAP admissions are online and centralised; over 4.39 lakh Plus One seats are available.

The Directorate of General Education (DGE), Kerala, has started the Higher Secondary Centralised Admission Process (HSCAP) 2026 for Kerala Plus One (Class 11) admissions. As per this, the eligible students who passed SSLC or Class 10 exams can now apply online for admission to government and aided higher secondary schools in Kerala.
Registration commenced on May 25, and deadline to apply is June 3, 2026. Students must know that the admissions are being conducted through the single-window system 'Ekajalakam'. The platform allows students to apply for multiple schools and streams through a common online platform. There are over 4.39 lakh Plus One seats across government, aided, unaided, technical, and special schools.
Supplementary allotments for vacant seats will be conducted between July 13 and August 5.

According to official figures, a total of 4,39,184 seats are available for Plus One admissions this year.

Media reports suggest the Kerala government has retained temporary Plus One batches sanctioned in previous years and approved marginal seat hikes in multiple districts to address the growing demand for higher secondary admissions. Government higher secondary schools in districts including Thiruvananthapuram, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod have been allowed a 30 percent increase in seats, while aided schools in these districts received a 20 percent hike.

Documents required for Kerala Plus One admission includes SSLC/Class 10 marksheet and passing certificate, transfer certificate, passport-size photographs, aadhaar card or valid identity proof, saste/community certificate (if applicable), income certificate (if applicable) and migration or nativity certificate, if required.
The Hindu shares that Malappuram emerged as the district with the highest demand for Plus One admissions this year. The district has 77,865 available seats, while 79,083 students have qualified for higher studies. In Palakkad, 35,352 seats are available against 38,164 eligible students, whereas Kozhikode has 42,892 seats for 42,770 qualified candidates.
