The Government of Kerala has announced holidays for all educational institutions, including colleges, professional institutions, schools, tuition centres, madrasas, anganwadis, and special classes across the state due to the southwest monsoon rains, as reported by The Hindu.

The IMD has forecast “extremely heavy rainfall” exceeding 204.4 mm in a single day, raising concerns about possible flooding and landslides.
