KVS Admission 2022: Class 1 online registration begins tomorrow; Documents required

KVS Admission 2022-23: The online registration for Class 2 will start from April 8 at kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in.
NEW DELHI: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) will begin the Class 1 online registration for the academic year 2022-23 tomorrow, February 28, 2022, at 10 am. The registration process of KV admission 2022 for Class 1 will end on March 21 at 7 pm. Application for the KVS admission 2022-23 is available on the official website, kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in.
As per the guidelines, “A child must be 6 years old as on March 31 in the academic year in which admission is sought for Class 1. A child born on April 1 should also be considered.”

“There is no age restriction for admission to Class 11 provided the student is seeking admission in the year of passing Class 10 examination. Similarly, there will be no upper and lower age limit for admission to Class 12 provided there has been no break in the continuous study of the student after passing Class 11,” it said.
15% seats for Scheduled Caste, 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes and 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) will be reserved in all fresh admissions in all Kendriya Vidyalayas. Also, 3% seats of total available seats for fresh admission will be horizontally reserved for differently abled-children.
KVS Admission 2022-23: Documents required
- Birth certificate- For Class 1, certificate of proof of age in the form of a birth certificate issued by the authority competent to register births. The original certificate of date of birth have to be returned to the parent after verification, as per the official statement.
- Caste certificate- A certificate that the child belongs to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, EWS, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), BPL.
- PWD certificate - A certificate from the civil surgeon, rehabilitation centre or any other competent authority defined by the Government of India certifying the child is handicapped.
- A certificate of retirement for uniformed defence employees.
- Proof of residence.
The online registration for Class 2 will start from April 8, 2022. The last date of online KVS registration for Class 2 would be April 16, 2022 till 4 pm.

In case the number of children seeking registration is less because of which all seats have not been filled up, the Principal shall issue a second advertisement in the month of May or June notifying the availability of vacancies.
