Admissions to Balvatika and Class 1 in Kendriya Vidyalayas are carried out through a computerised lottery system. This year, after the registration process ended, applications were sorted into categories such as RTE, service priority, and other reserved quotas.
Following this, a randomised digital draw was conducted to select candidates within each category. Based on the outcome, provisional selection lists and waiting lists were generated and published as per the announced schedule.
For admissions to higher classes (Class 2 onwards), the process is conducted offline depending on the availability of seats, and separate lists are released. Admissions for Class 11 will commence after the declaration of the CBSE Class 10 results.
