NEW DELHI: The University of Lucknow is inviting applications for a newly launched research merit scholarship scheme for girl students. Eligible female PhD students can apply for the scholarship on the official website – lkouniv.ac.in. The last date to apply for the scholarship is June 15, 2022. The “Shodh Medha Chhatravritti” scheme is intended to provide financial aid to bright female research students to help them in pursuing higher education. The scheme has been launched to increase participation of women in research.

Initial duration of the scholarship will be one year and will be extended for two more years on annual basis on the recommendation of the respective Departmental Research Committee, as per a notification from LU.
Under the scholarship, female PhD students will get Rs 5,000 per month for a maximum period of three years.
