Maharashtra NEET MDS Counselling 2026: CAP round 1 merit list on August 29. Choice filling from August 30.
The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has commenced the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) 2026 Centralised Admission Process (CAP) registration for admission to postgraduate dental courses for the academic year 2026-27. Eligible candidates can register online till August 24, 8 pm.
Candidates must pay the MAH MDS registration fee of Rs 3,000 and security deposit by 10 pm on August 24. The last date to upload and submit the required documents is 11.59 pm on August 24. Candidates will be considered registered only after successful payment of the applicable fees.
The Maharashtra NEET MDS 2026 CAP counselling process will cover admissions to government, government-aided, municipal corporation and private unaided dental colleges notified by the Maharashtra government. Admissions will be based on candidates' NEET MDS 2026 merit, subject to the eligibility criteria and applicable state rules.

Candidates who have already registered for All India Quota (AIQ) counselling must register separately with the Maharashtra State Competent Authority to participate in the Maharashtra State Quota/CAP counselling.

As per the notice, candidates are required to upload all requisite documents in the prescribed format and ensure that the details entered in the application form are correct and complete. Failure to upload the required documents within the deadline may result in rejection of the application or non-granting of the respective category claim.
Documents required for NEET MDS 2026 registration
Candidates are required to keep the following documents ready while applying for Maharashtra NEET MDS 2026 counselling:
- Downloaded copy of the State NEET MDS 2026 application form.
- Copy of the NEET MDS 2026 admit card.
- A valid photo ID proof, such as Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, PAN Card or Passport.
- NEET MDS 2026 marksheet/scorecard.
- Nationality proof, such as a Nationality Certificate, valid Passport or HSC/Class 12 School Leaving Certificate mentioning the candidate's nationality as “Indian”.
- BDS degree or passing certificate.
- Internship completion certificate issued by the university or head of the institution. The internship must have been completed on or before May 31, 2026.
- Permanent or provisional registration certificate issued by the Maharashtra Medical Council, another State Dental Council in India or the National Dental Commission.
- Certificate from the head of the institute confirming that the dental college/institute from which the candidate completed the BDS course is recognised by the National Dental Commission.
- Medical Fitness Certificate in the prescribed format as per Annexure M.
- Copy of the online fee payment receipt of Rs 3,000.
The CET Cell has also clarified that mere registration will not guarantee admission. Admission will be subject to fulfilment of eligibility conditions, verification of original documents, merit and availability of seats.
