Maharashtra NEET UG 2026: 500 MBBS, BDS seats vacant at Balasaheb Vikhe Patil University

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) cell has announced the vacant seats for the Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 round 2 for admission to MBBS and BDS programmes for the academic year 2026-27.

The state cell has announced that recently recognised Balasaheb Vikhe Patil University as a private university, will have a total of 500 seats, including 250 in NKP Salve Medical College under Lata Mangeshkar University, Nagpur, 100 in Ranjit Deshmukh Dental College and 200 in Dr Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation Medical College.

These seats will be filled through Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 CAP round 2 counselling process.

Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 Counselling: 60% seats for all-India level

The NKP Salve Medical College and Ranjit Deshmukh Dental College under Lata Mangeshkar University, Nagpur and Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation Medical College under Balasaheb Vikhe Patil University will have a total of 550 seats, which will be filled through CET, including 450 seats for MBBS and 100 seats for BDS admissions.

According to an official statement, 40% of the total admission capacity of the mentioned colleges will be reserved for candidates from the state of Maharashtra, in which constitutional reservation will be applicable.

The remaining 60% seats will be filled at the all-India level. Reservation will not be applicable to these 60% seats. Also, 15% of the said 60% seats will be reserved for Non-Resident Indian candidates, it added.

Moreover, no scholarship scheme will be applicable to the candidates, taking admission in these universities. Candidates can fill their choices of colleges and courses for Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 counselling round 2 by September 12.
