Mahindra University launches MA in education programme; Apply till June 5

NEW DELHI: Indira Mahindra School of Education at Mahindra University has launched applications for master of arts (MA) in education. Interested candidates that are eligible will be able to apply for the programme till June 5 on official website- mahindrauniversity.edu.in. The classes for the MA in education course are set to begin in August 2023.

The programme aims to train students in critical research skills, theoretical knowledge, thematic and analytical exposition. The tuition fee for the two-year MA programme is Rs 1,00,000 per annum. To be eligible for this course, candidates are required to have a minimum of 55% marks in any bachelor’s degree from any discipline including sciences, humanities, commerce, liberal arts, engineering, management or education.

In addition to this, those candidates have completed their BEd or BElEd with a minimum of 55% marks or students with valid CUET (PG) scores are also eligible to apply. Mahindra University will also be awarding a stipend of Rs 18,000 per month towards teaching assistantship for eligible candidates.

The university will also connect the students with practitioners and professionals working in various developmental organisations and CSR initiatives to come to campus to share their experiences

Srinivasa Rao, Dean, Indira Mahindra School of Education, said: " As we move into an era of revolution in terms of expansion of education at all levels (elementary, secondary, higher, vocational and early childhood education), we need more and more well-trained professionals who could go beyond the teacher training programmes, and are drawn from a wider pool of multi-disciplinary areas and subjects into Education programs. At Mahindra University, we welcome students who have completed their under-graduation in any subject (BA, BCom, BSc, BTech, BBA, BEl Ed, BEd) and have desire to enter into Education or Development Sectors. Also, students who wish to pursue research careers in Educational Studies or consultancy services”.
