Manipal College of Nursing signs understanding with Coloplast India to offer wound management training
NEW DELHI: Manipal College of Nursing signed an understanding with Coloplast India to venture into interprofessional wound management training.
The understanding was signed by Narayana Sabhahit, registrar, MAHE and Bhaskar Azad, national clinical manager, Coloplast Academy in the presence of Judith A Noronha, dean MCON, MAHE, Manipal, Elsa Sanatombi Devi.

“Coloplast is committed to continuing clinical education in India and has established Coloplast Academy, the clinical arm of Coloplast’s India subsidiary which consists of medical doctors and clinical trainers, informed a press release.
The collaboration aims to establish Manipal Coloplast HEAL Academy Centre of Excellence, an advanced wound care training programme under the aegis of Healthcare Excellence Access Learning (HEAL). It will further aim at partnering with healthcare professionals to elevate clinical management, focus on holistic health and enhance the standard of care for patients with intimate healthcare needs.

The participants of the program will receive European Wound Management Association endorsed certificate for various educational modules to be provided by Coloplast Academy.
“The Manipal Coloplast HEAL Academy Centre of Excellence - a will strive and endure towards developing and implementing standardized wound care techniques to produce wound care managers in the future to cater to the needs of the public and be leaders in wound care across the globe,” informed a press release from the institute.
