Masters’ Union launches Data Science and AI engineering course with Illinois Tech

Masters’ Union Course Launch: 50% of the data science and AI engineering programme will be taught by AI experts, CTOs from Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and IBM.
NEW DELHI: Masters’ Union has launched a four-year undergraduate programme in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) through its newly established School of Emerging Technologies. The Masters’ Union data science and AI programme offers an optional 3+1 global degree pathway in partnership with Illinois Institute of Technology (Illinois Tech), Chicago, US.
Admissions are open for the first batch of Masters’ Union data science and AI programme. The admission process for the Masters’ Union programme includes submission of JEE Mains scores along with a video essay explaining why the applicant is a suitable fit for the course. As per the Masters’ Union, the acceptance rate is 10%. A total of 120 seats are available for the first batch of Masters’ Union data science and AI programme.
Masters’ Union data science and AI course
The newly launched Masters’ Union data science and AI programme offers students two learning tracks. In the India Track, students will complete all four years at the Masters’ Union campus in Gurugram. In the Global Track, students will complete the first three years in Gurugram and the final year at Illinois Tech, Chicago, earning a BS. in Artificial Intelligence from Illinois Tech. The global degree pathway is designed to provide international exposure and career opportunities.
Masters’ Union Course: Curriculum
The Masters’ Union data science and AI programme curriculum has been developed in collaboration with leading companies like PwC and Ola Krutrim. It emphasizes practical learning, where students are expected to build AI applications like virtual try-on assistants, medical chatbots, AI tutors, resume screeners, and fraud transaction detectors in each semester. The programme also includes industry consulting projects and internships to ensure students gain real-world experience.
Half of the classes will be conducted by AI experts and CTOs from companies like Microsoft, Amazon, and Google. The remaining curriculum will be dedicated to practical projects, consulting assignments, and AI application development.
Global exposure and career opportunities
Students opting for the Global Track will spend their final year at Illinois Tech, Chicago, ranked among the top 100 AI universities worldwide. Additionally, the programme offers global immersion tours to AI hubs in countries like the US, Japan, and Singapore, enabling students to gain exposure to global technological developments.

The programme aims to prepare graduates for careers in AI startups, technology firms, or to launch their own AI ventures. Students may also join companies like Ola Krutrim, among others.
Programme fee
The fee for the Masters’ Union data science and AI programme India track is Rs 47,17,000 and global track costs Rs 1,03,65,500, including the final year in the US.
