MCC postpones NEET UG counselling 2026 round 1 choice locking

Try NowThe Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has postponed the NEET UG counselling 2026 choice locking for round 1 MBBS and BDS admissions. MCC will begin the NEET UG round 1 counselling 2026 from 5 pm today. Candidates will be able to register for MCC NEET UG counselling 2026 round 1 on the official website, mcc.nic.in/ug-medical-counselling/.
Students can find the details for MCC NEET UG counselling 2026 round 1 choice locking time after logging in to the candidate portal. MCC has offered 31,728 MBBS, BDS, and BSc seats for NEET UG round 1 counselling.
“Choice locking has yet not started, however the time for choice locking will be announced soon. Candidates are advised to keep in touch with the MCC website,” the MCC website reads.
The counselling committee has recently published a supplementary list for the CW category under the 85% quota , covering children and widows of armed forces personnel. Candidates can check their names in the list to verify their eligibility.
MCC also published an additional list for candidates eligible for the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JPIMER) Puducherry and Karaikal internal quota. A total of 5407 students are eligible for JIPMER Puducherry and Karaikal admission .

According to the MCC NEET UG counselling 2026 dates , the round 1 provisional seat allotment result will be announced on August 17, and college reporting will start from August 18 to 22.
MCC conducts the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) counselling for admission to 15% All India Quota seats, 100% open seats at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), and other medical colleges
