Download EBookNEW DELHI: Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has started the registration for stray vacancy round for NEET UG counselling today at mcc.nic.in. The last date to register for NEET 2020 counselling stray vacancy round is January 6, 2021, till 12 noon. However, the payment facility will be available till 3 PM on January 6, 2021. Through NEET UG stray vacancy round, as many as 2,463 vacant MBBS and BDS seats in AIIMS, VMMC, DU, AMU, BHU, deemed universities, and ESIC will be filled. The stray vacancy round of NEET MBBS/BDS counselling will be conducted in an offline mode by the respective deemed/central university. The National Medical Commission (NMC) has also extended the last date for MBBS admission in the country till January 15, 2021.
It must be noted that candidates do not have to pay any extra fee other than the registration fee to participate in the NEET 2020 stray vacancy round. During the stray vacancy round of NEET 2020 counselling, candidates will have to report to the respective deemed/central university in person. Candidates must carry all the necessary documents to the counselling centre. Check the list of counselling conducting authority for the respective institute in the table below.

Who is eligible for the stray vacancy round of NEET 2020 counselling?
-
Candidates registered with the MCC in any one of the previous NEET UG counselling rounds.

Candidates not holding any MBBS/BDS seat allotted in previous rounds of MCC NEET counselling.
Who is not eligible for the stray vacancy round of NEET UG counselling?
-
Candidates not registered in any of the NEET MBBS/BDS counselling rounds.
-
Candidates who joined the seat allotted in round two of NEET counselling 2020.
-
Candidates who joined the seat allotted during NEET counselling mop-up round.
-
Candidates who were allotted seats in the mop-round of NEET counselling but did not report to the allotted college.
What after registration of NEET 2020 stray vacancy round?
After closing the registration, the MCC will prepare the merit list of candidates who registered for the stray vacancy round. Candidates included in the merit list will be 10 times the number of vacant seats. MCC will forward the stray vacancy round merit list to the respective institutions on January 7, 2021. Candidates included in the merit list will be required to report to the respective institution between January 7 to January 15, 2021, for offline seat allotment. The session of undergraduate medical courses will commence from February 2, 2021.
