The State CET Cell may start the counselling process for MH CET law 2021 in November. It is conducted in online mode, in multiple rounds. The detailed schedule of MH CET law counselling will be released separately by the State CET Cell on its official website - mahacet.org.
Before the counselling, the CET Cell will release the MH CET law scorecards for all candidates who appeared in the exam. Candidates will be able to download their scorecards by logging into the counselling portal.
Along with the scorecards, it will also release the provisional merit lists for both MS (Maharashtra State) and OMS (All India Category) candidates.
To participate in the MH CET law CAP 2021, candidates should have the following documents.
Marksheet of qualifying examination
Scorecard of MH CET law 2021
Birth certificate
MH CET law 2021 Admit Card
Domicile certificate
Caste certificate (if admission is sought under reserved category)
PwD certificate (if applicable)
To participate in the counselling, candidates will have to register themselves on the counselling portal. While registering for the MH CET law counselling, candidates will also be required to upload the documents in support of their candidature for admission. Only such candidates who register for MH CET law CAP 2021 will be considered for admission to law colleges participating in the process.
The CET Cell will verify the documents submitted by candidates before releasing the allotment list. Candidates who are found eligible based on the given criteria will be included in the MH CET law merit lists. Candidates will be shortlisted for admission based on merit cum preference criteria. Therefore, it is clear that merely participating in CAP does not mean the candidate will get admission to any law college.
Candidates who could not register for a given round of counselling will have the opportunity to participate in the next round of counselling. Also, the candidates who have been allotted the law colleges will have the option to accept the allotment or to update their preferences and participate in the next round of counselling.
If vacant seats are available, the law colleges will conduct an institutional round at the end of the counselling. Meanwhile, candidates shortlisted during the counselling process will have to visit the allotted law college/department and complete the admission process by submitting the documents and course fees.
