MHT CET 2020 date to be announced soon

NEW DELHI: The Maharashtra state common entrance test cell will soon announce the MHT CET 2020 new exam date. As per the TOI report, the commissioner of MHT CET 2020 has informed that a proposal to conduct the examination has been sent to the government. The MHT CET 2020 date would be announced as soon as the government gives the permission to conduct the exam.
MHT CET 2020 would be conducted online, but not in a remote proctored manner, as was claimed by some reports. Also, there is NO plan to consider JEE Main score for admission for the time being. Seats will be offered only through CET 2020, confirmed by the CET commissioner.
MHT CET exam date was at first scheduled in June, later postponed to July and currently deferred till further notice. CET exam has been postponed due to prevailing covid-19 pandemic.
As per the official statistics, 4,45,780 applications have been received for the CET exam in PCM and PCB group.
Maharashtra CET is conducted for admission in various courses which include engineering, pharmacy,hotel management, architecture among others. MHT CET 2020 exam date for all the exams will be announced soon.
For admission in private institutions, D.R.Nandanwar, joint director of technical education has said that private and deemed universities can follow their own admission process to admit students. The only conditions that the admission must be on the basis of merit. Private and deemed universities are not bound to take admission through MHT CET.
