MP Abhishek Singhvi delivers lecture on Indian democracy at US universities

The lecture series of senior advocate Abhishek Singhvi is being organised by OP Jindal Global University at 10 universities of the United States.
NEW DELHI:
OP Jindal Global University is hosting a lecture series of senior advocate and Member of Parliament (MP) Abhishek Manu Singhvi at 10 universities in six cities of the United States of America (USA).
Singhvi will speak on the topic such as ‘The Indian democracy after 75 years’, ‘The Supreme Court's recent judgments on same sex marriage’ and ‘The SC after 75 years’. He has delivered lectures at Seattle University School of Law, Harvard Law School, Columbia Law School and University of California at Berkeley.
C Raj Kumar, professor at OP Jindal Global University will be delivering commentary on these lectures. He said, “We at OP Jindal Global University and Jindal Global Law School are delighted to bring together the legal fraternity of India and the USA for a series of lectures and dialogues. By collaborating with like-minded institutions, we hope to promote global discourses that transcend borders, nurturing a shared understanding of the legal world.”
First lecture at Seattle University
At Seattle University Law School, Singhvi spoke on the topic ‘The Indian Supreme Court at 75: Protecting rights, expanding freedoms and empowering citizens’. Following this, a lecture was hosted by the RoundGlass India Centre, Seattle University on the topic ‘India at 75 and beyond: Law, politics and governance in the world's largest democracy”
In Los Angeles the lecture was hosted by the Pepperdine University Law School and Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution on ‘Mediation in emerging markets globally with a focus on India: addressing access, backlog, cost and delays’. He has also delivered lectures at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).

The Parliamentarian will then address gatherings at University of California Davis School of Law, University of California Berkeley, Tufts University, Harvard Law School, American University and Yeshiva University.
