Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday drove an electric scooter to a slum area in Bhopal to meet Chandni Vishwakarma, who topped the Class 12 state board exams, and wished her a bright future. Chandni (18), a resident of the Bhim Nagar slum in the state capital, Bhopal, stood first in the Class 12 exams conducted this year by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education.
Yadav, accompanied by BJP MLA Bhagwan Das Sabnani, reached Chandni's house riding the electric scooter, negotiating narrow lanes in the area. Congratulating the board topper for her outstanding performance and wishing her a bright future, Yadav said her achievement has brought pride to the state.
The CM later said he had a cordial meeting with Chandni and her family and also took a selfie with them. Despite difficult circumstances, Chandni's achievement through hard work, dedication and determination is an inspiration for lakhs of students in the state, he said.
Yadav also said he enjoyed riding the Electric Vehicle (EV) to reach Bhim Nagar and added that such steps help in the conservation of fuel and reduce dependence on energy sources.
