NEW DELHI: The Director of Medical Education Madhya Pradesh has clarified on the government fee seats in private medical colleges in MP. The MP National Eligibility cum Entrance Test postgraduate (NEET PG 2022) registration will begin today and will continue till September 21, 2022. Students will have eight days to register for MP NEET PG counselling 2022.
The MP NEET PG 2022 counselling schedule has also been released on the dme.mponline.gov.in.
Implementing the NMC fee guidelines for the private medical colleges in the state, the DME Madhya Pradesh said, “This is for information to all NEET PG qualified and eligible candidates who intend to participate in MP State Combined NEET PG Counselling 2022, that after removing 15% NRI quota seats, admissions on 42.5% of the remaining 85% general pool seats shall be at par with the prevailing annual fee of government medical college.”

“Admission on remaining 42.5% seats shall be as per the annual fee fixed by AFRC (Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee) or MPPURC (Madhya Pradesh Private University Regulatory Commission,” it said.
There are a total of 29 participating institutes in MP NEET PG Counselling 2022, of which 10 are government medical colleges.
Meanwhile, the Madras High Court on September 9 asked the National Medical Commission (NMC) to reconsider its direction on the fee in 50% seats in private medical colleges equal to the fee in the government medical college.
The petitioners, who filed a plea against the MBBS and PG fee guidelines, argued that the implementation of the NMC order will lead to discrimination as the second half of students will have to pay for the first half for whom the fee will be reduced.
It also challenged the validity of Section 10 of the NMC Act 2019 which gave power to the commission to determine fees in respect of 50% seats in private medical colleges.
