Mumbai University admission 2024 for UG distance, online courses begins; ABC ID mandatory

MU Admission 2024: The university to offer MA Sociology and a few diploma, certificate programmes in online mode on a pilot basis in the current academic year 2024-25.
NEW DELHI: University of Mumbai has started the admission process for undergraduate (UG) distance and online courses. Students taking admission for the first time in undergraduate programs at CDOE have to register freshly through the link idoloa.digitaluniversity.ac/Login. The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) offers UG admission in first-year BA, BCom, and BSc.
Students will be able to submit the MU CDOE application form by July 31 for BA, BCom, BCom Accounting and Finance, BSc Information Technology, and BSc Computer Science.
“Old CDOE students of CBCS pattern taking admission in second year or third year programs can use their PNR number to complete their admission process. Students of CDOE for the academic year 2022-23 are hereby informed that the examinations for the II and IV semesters are scheduled for July 2024. Therefore, their admission for the next academic year will commence after the results of the aforementioned examinations are declared,” the university said.
Students of the first and second years of degree programs from affiliated colleges of the University of Mumbai taking admission in CDOE are informed that they should scan and upload the No Objection Certificate (NOC) with the PNR number mentioned on it for online admission.

Thereafter, the documents and marksheet will be verified by the respective college and if they are found to be fake, legal action will be taken against the student.
The university informed students that it is mandatory to register on Academic Bank of Credits ( ABC ID ) as per the National Education Policy (NEP 2020).
The university will begin by offering MA Sociology and a few diploma and certificate programmes in online mode on a pilot basis in the current academic year 2024-25, the Free Press Journal reported. It also announced plans to eventually add online versions of other distance learning programmes.
The admission schedule for masters programmes will be announced soon. The university’s distance education unit will offer MA History, Sociology, Economics, Political Science, Marathi, Hindi, English, Geography), Education, Psychology, Communication and Journalism, Public Relations, MCom Advanced Accountancy, MCom Business Management, MSc Mathematics, MSc Information Technology, MSc Computer Science.
