Notably, the university admissions to the first year of degree programmes and their academic activities will be on the basis of provisions and guidelines of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the university added.
On Thursday, Chandrakant Patil, Maharashtra higher and technical education minister said that colleges in the state have been given an additional six months for
National Assessment and Accreditation Council
(NAAC) accreditation and re-accreditation to avoid loss of students.
"Colleges have been instructed to apply for their assessment as soon as NAAC opens its portal for binary accreditation. The announcement comes after the University of Mumbai (MU) suspended admissions at 156 colleges for failing to seek NAAC evaluation. Another 56 colleges were also barred from admitting students for not having college development committees (CDCs) in place," Patil added.
