Mumbai University, Moscow State University to set up e-content studio, smart classroom

NEW DELHI: University of Mumbai, in collaboration with Moscow State University, will set up an e-content studio and smart classroom at the Shankarrao Chavan Academy for Teacher Training building in the Vidyanagari campus. The project will receive a Rs 35 lakh grant from Art-Podgotovka, an autonomous non-commercial institution based in Moscow, Russia.

The initiative aims to bring a change in teacher training and enhance educational content for students. According to official press release, the e-content studio will be equipped with advanced technology to create high-quality digital educational resources. The smart classroom will contain interactive displays and multimedia capabilities.

The collaboration between the University of Mumbai and Moscow State University focuses on technology use in higher education. The facilities will support teachers in developing teaching methodologies and provide students with educational tools.

The partnership with Moscow State University marks a significant step toward modernising and strengthening the academic infrastructure at the University of Mumbai. Vice Chancellor Ravindra Kulkarni expressed confidence that the e-content studio and smart classroom would enhance the quality of teacher training and prepare students for the digital era.

According to Ravindra Kulkarni, the facility will help academic development and strengthen the use of technology in education. “With the help of the e-content studio and smart classroom, the quality of teacher training will be enhanced, and students will be better prepared for the digital era,” he said.
