Students seeking admission to the course must have successfully completed their Class 12 education from a recognised board. Depending on the affiliated college and programme, the course fee varies widely, ranging from approximately Rs 2,400 to Rs 8.8 lakh.

The third merit list will be released programme-wise by affiliated colleges, indicating the candidates shortlisted for admission against the seats that remain unfilled after the previous rounds. The cutoff marks for each course will be determined based on seat availability and applicants' academic performance.

The documents required for the MU UG admission 2026 are given below:

• Class 10 marksheet and certificate
• Class 12 marksheet and certificate
• ABC ID/APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry ID)
• School Leaving Certificate (SLC) or Transfer Certificate
• Valid caste certificate (for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD and other eligible reserved-category candidates)
• Domicile certificate, if applicable
• Aadhaar card or other valid identity proof
• Recent passport-size photographs
• Scanned/digital copy of signature, if required
• Eligibility certificate (mandatory for students who passed Class 12 from boards other than the Maharashtra State Board)

Aspirants can check the college-wise cutoff by following the steps given below:

• Go to the official Mumbai University website at mu.ac.in or the admission portal muugadmission.samarth.edu.in
• On the homepage, navigate to the ‘Latest Announcements’ section
• Click on the UG Admission link provided there
• Open the Third Merit List for the relevant undergraduate programme
• Check the admission cutoff and verify the selection status

To generate an APAAR ID online, candidates must access their DigiLocker account and create an ABC (Academic Bank of Credits) ID. The detailed procedure is provided below.

• Visit the DigiLocker portal or mobile application and sign in using the mobile number linked to the Aadhaar card
• Navigate to the ‘Documents’ section and search for ‘Academic Bank of Credits (ABC)’
• From the available services, choose the APAAR/ABC ID option
• Fill in the required information in the designated fields
• Provide consent by selecting the declaration checkbox and proceed by clicking ‘Get Document’
• Once the process is completed, a 12-digit APAAR ID will be generated and stored under the ‘Issued Documents’ section
• Download and save the generated document in PDF format for future use

The ML Dahanukar College of Commerce (autonomous), announced the MU UG 2nd cut-off list for admission to BCom programmes earlier. 

As per the cut-off list, the open category cut-off stands at 239 out of 600 (39.83%), whereas ST recorded the highest cut-off at 279 marks (46.50%), followed by OBC at 262 marks (43.67%) and SC at 261 marks (43.50%).
