New Delhi, July 4NIT Delhi has commenced the national spot round (NSR) for CCMT counselling to fill the vacancies left after the three rounds of counselling. The registrations and choice filling for NSR will start on July 4. Candidates can fill their choices for NSR online till July 20 while the registrations for the same will end on July 16. Eligible candidates have to register afresh by paying the registration fee and participation fee. The candidates can change, reorder, delete and add their choices during the choice filling period. Locking of saved choices will be done automatically at mid-night on 20th July. If any candidate fails to enter and save a single choice till the last day of choice filling, then his/her candidature will not be considered for the spot round. Candidates also have to report to the reporting centres for document verification. After the seat allotment reporting to the allotted institute is mandatory.

Eligibility criteria for NSR

Following candidates are eligible for NSR:

  • Candidates who have withdrawn or not reported to any reporting centre in the earlier rounds for verification of allotment.

  • Candidates who deposited Seat Acceptance Fee, but failed to deposit Seat Confirmation Fee.

  • Candidates who are eligible for admissions but their allotted seat was cancelled in earlier rounds due to non-fulfilment of any criteria.

  • All eligible candidates who did not register for earlier three rounds.

NSR Fee

  • For OC/OB candidates- Candidates have to pay NSR fee of Rs 42,000 where 40000 is the participation fee and 2200 is the registration fee.

  • For SC/ST/PwD- An amount of Rs 11,700 has to be paid where Rs 10000 is the participation fee and Rs 1700 is the registration fee.

Candidates must note that the registration fee is non-refundable while the participation fee will be refunded if the seat is not allotted.

After the choice is locked, candidates have to report to the registration centres for document verification. All those candidates who have already got their documents verified in any of the earlier rounds are not required to report again. They have to produce their earlier issued Document Verification Certificate while reporting to the allotted institute. After the seat is allotted, candidate is required to report to the allotted institute. The candidates will not be entitled to any refund on the seat acceptance and confirmation fee.
