Try NowNEW DELHI: The National Board of Examination, on July 3, 2020, has released the revised cut off for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET MDS) admission to Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) courses for the current academic session. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) in consultation with the Dental Council of India (DCI) has lowered the required cut off percentile in order to fill the vacant seats. According to the official notice, the revised MDS cutoff has been reduced to 18.935 percentile for each category.

Dip in NEET MDS cut off percentile
Last year, the revised MDS cut off for general category candidate was 25.835 percentile, while for SC/ST/OBC, it was 15.835 percentile. There was a deduction of 24.165 percentile in the previous year’s cut off, while as many as 78 marks were reduced.

Candidates securing this minimum qualifying percentile will be considered eligible to participate in the mop-up round counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and remaining allotment process by respective state admission committees.
