NBEMS announces post-diploma DNB counselling 2026 final mop-up round dates; eligibility

Check NowThe National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the schedule for the final (mop-up) round of online centralised merit-based counselling for post-diploma Diplomat National Board (DNB) seats 2026. Applicants can check the dates on the official website of NBEMS at natboard.edu.in.
As per the official notice, aspirants can fill out the choices/options from August 21 to August 24, 2026 (up to 5 pm). This is another opportunity for applicants who were not allotted seats in the earlier rounds of counselling.
The allotment processing will be done from August 25 to August 26, 2026. The allotment result will be out on August 27, 2026. The physical joining at the allotted hospital will be done from August 27 to September 1, 2026.
Post-Diploma DNB Counselling 2026: Seat matrix
As per the notice, the NBEMS will release the seat matrix for the final (mop-up) round before the start of the counselling round.
“The hospitals are strictly advised to ensure that the joining/resignation of the candidate are up to date at counseling portal https://hadmin.nbe.edu.in/pdcetadmin doLogin and if there is any candidate resigned before the commencement of Final (Mop-up) Round, the concerned hospital has to ensure that their resignation information are updated the above counseling portal on or before 20th August 2026 for inclusion of such seat in Final (Mopup) round of counseling. The hospital failing to update the resignation information of such candidates at the counseling portal shall lead to non-inclusion of such seats in the Final (Mop-up) round of counseling,” the notice reads further.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants who have already registered for the counselling and were not allotted any seat during the first and/or second rounds can participate in this round. “Candidates who fail to join their allotted (if allotted with seat) institution in the Final (Mop-up) Round of counseling by the stipulated date i.e. 01-09-2026 will lose their Post Diploma DNB Seat & their First Year Course Fee shall be forfeited, the notice added.
