NBEMS launches post MBBS diploma courses in 8 broad specialties

Candidates can apply for the two-year MBBS diploma course till April 30. Last date to send hard copy of the application form to NBEMS office is May 31.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Science (NBEMS) has launched post MBBS diploma courses for the January-February 2022 cycle for admission session 2023. NBE has also released the information bulletin on details regarding the application form, course fee and eligibility criteria at natboard.edu.in.

Candidates will have to submit the application forms only in online mode through Online Accreditation Application Portal (OAAP) which can be accessed through the NBEMS website natboard.edu.in.

NBEMS has launched Post MBBS two-year Diploma courses in the following broad specialities.
- Anesthesiology
- Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Paediatrics
- Family Medicine
- Ophthalmology
- Otorhinolaryngology (ENT)
- Radio diagnosis
- Tuberculosis and chest disease
Candidates can apply for the two-year MBBS diploma course from today, February 8, 2022, till April 30, 2022. The last date for receipt of the hard copy of the application form to the NBEMS office is May 31, 2022.
The NBEMS in its official notice said, “The above Diploma qualifications are recognized medical qualifications as per The Gazette of India notification dated 06-08-2020. Applications are invited from the hospitals for seeking accreditation for Post MBBS two-year Diploma courses.”

The notification further said, “For any query/clarification/assistance, please write to NBEMS at e-mail ID - accr@natboard.edu.in.”
The board further said, “The hospitals running three years DNB/DrNB courses, in any of the eight specialities for which Diploma course have been started, can also apply for Diploma courses with the same infrastructure. However, the faculty which has been considered for the DNB course will not be considered for the Diploma course i.e. the applicant hospital shall be required to have separate faculty for the Diploma courses.”
MCI or NMC courses and NBEMS Diploma courses cannot run concurrently in the same speciality in the same hospital as they share the same beds, resources and faculty, the information bulletin said.
How to apply for MBBS diploma course
- Create a new account on the NBE Online Accreditation Application Portal (OAAP) accr.natboard.edu.in.
- Enter the user ID, password, mobile number and email.
- OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number and email. Enter both for successful registration.
- After the completion of the registration process, an acknowledgment email “User Registration successful with Online Accreditation Application Portal” will sent to the registered email address.
The hard copy of the application form should to sent to the NBEMS office at the following address latest by May 31. “To, Accreditation Department, National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, Medical Enclave, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi -110029,” as per the NBEMS.
