NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the eligibility criteria for BSc Nursing admission through the NEET 2021 scores. As per the official notice, in addition to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and veterinary seats, the scores of NEET 2021 may be used for BSc Nursing admission.

Earlier, the NTA has extended the last date to fill NEET 2021 application form till August 10, 2021, as the agency received a number of requests from the Nursing Colleges affiliated to the University of Delhi (DU) for the students seeking admission in BSc (Hons) course.
Providing an update on BSc Nursing admission, the Indian Nursing Council (INC) has prescribed the latest NEET UG eligibility criteria for BSc Nursing. Candidates seeking admission into BSc (Nursing) courses are advised to check the eligibility criteria from the respective colleges/ institutes/ deemed universities. Given below are the basic eligibility criteria for BSc Nursing admission 2021.
Minimum age: Students should be 17 years as of December 31 on the year of admission
Qualifying examination: Candidates should have passed Class 12 with physics, chemistry, biology and English as compulsory subjects
Minimum aggregate marks: General category aspirants must have passed the qualifying examination with 45% marks, while for SC/ST/OBC the minimum marks should be 40%
Reservation policy: 3% of the reservation will be provided to the Person with Disability (PwD) candidates.
NTA has also confirmed that they have no role in laying down BSc Nursing eligibility conditions for NEET 2021, the same is being communicated by the INC.
The NEET 2021 exam is scheduled to be held on September 12 in pen and paper-based mode. The medical exam will be conducted in 13 different languages to grant admission to 83,075 MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, 525 BVSc, and AH seats.
As per the latest update on BSc Nursing admission through NEET UG 2021, institutions like JIPMER, BHU have already released notifications in this regard saying there will be no separate entrance exams for these courses.
