NEW DELHI: After the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the exam date for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2021) for undergraduate medical admissions, students have expressed mixed reactions on Twitter. NEET 2021 will be conducted on August 1. The exam will be held in pen and paper-based mode in 11 languages. For over months, social media was flooded with requests addressing the education minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, to announce the NEET exam date.

As per the notification, the NEET exam will be held once a year, which is not happy news for candidates who were requesting the education minister to conduct NEET 2021 twice a year. They have shared their disappointments in several ways on social media.

Students in favour of NEET 2021 exam date

A student has requested the NTA to release the NEET application form now.

“A very big thanks......can't imagine what you guys have done by announcing the date” an aspirant said.

Thanking the NTA for announcing the date, a student tweeted, “Thanks a lot NTA....we still have four months to make the best out of it.”

With the announcement of NEET exam date, a candidate said that they can now stay connected with their studies.

NEET 2021 exam date: disappointments

A student requested the authorities to conduct NEET exam either in June or in two phases.

One of the aspirants questioned if JEE can be conducted four times, then why not NEET?

“Please reconsider your decision and organize 2 NEET (UG) exams in this pandemic year. Don't deprive medical aspirants. These batches could not attend conventional classes in entire class XII. We need more doctors in India,” a NEET aspirant tweeted.

NEET 2021 application form date

The application form of NEET 2021 will be released soon at ntaneet.nic.in. Only eligible candidates can complete NEET registration 2021 till the last date. The application form can be filled in five steps - NEET registration, filling of the form, uploading of scanned images, payment of fees and printout of the confirmation page.
