NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET UG on July 17 for over 16 lakh medical students. With less than 3 months in hand, candidates must acquaint themselves with the important details regarding NEET UG 2022.

The registrations for NEET-UG 2022 can be done till May 6, while the fee can be paid till May 7. Candidates are advised to read further to know important details related to the NEET UG entrance exam.
Candidates appearing for NEET 2022 must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2022.
There is no upper age limit to appear for NEET-UG.
Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Biotechnology subjects.
Candidates belonging to the general category must score 50% marks in Class 12, however, OBC/SC/ST PWD candidates must secure 40% and 45% respectively.
NEET 2022 will be conducted in pen and paper mode. As per the latest update on NEET UG, the exam duration has been increased to 3 hours 20 minutes. As a result, the exam will now be held from 2 to 5:20 pm.
The marking scheme for NEET UG 2022 is as follows:
For every correct answer, candidates will be awarded 4 marks.
One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
No mark will be given for an unanswered question.
NTA will conduct NEET-UG exam in 13 different languages; English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Odia, Punjabi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Urdu. Candidates can select their convenient languages at the time of registration.
NEET UG 2022 will be conducted for admission to medical, dental, AYUSH and BSc nursing courses.
