NEET paper leak

Following the NEET paper leak, the Centre announced that NEET UG 2027 will be conducted in online mode to ensure transparency and leak-proof examinations.

NTA officials said that while the NEET exam in CBT mode is under consideration, a final decision will be made after receiving the report from the Nandan Nilekani-led task force constituted to overhaul India's public examination systems.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is the country’s largest undergraduate entrance examination, with nearly 25 lakh candidates appearing each year. The push for reforms in the education system and an overhaul of the National Testing Agency (NTA) gained momentum following the paper leak controversy.
