New Delhi, June 12: Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has today released a tentative schedule of NEET 2019 counselling for 15% AIQ/Deemed/Central Universities/ESIC & AFMC. The counselling process will be conducted in online mode, with registrations for Round I to commence on June 19; last date to register is June 24. Meanwhile, the counselling fee for first round can be paid until June 25. Note that the counselling process is open to NEET qualified candidates only.

Counselling for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) will comprise two rounds. In case any vacant seats are left, due to non reporting or non joining, such seats will be transferred to state quota by June 23. So, unless the candidate doesn’t want to accept the allotted seat, he/she needs to confirm their seats by reporting at allotted college and completing any other admission formalities.

In case of Deemed/Central Universities/ESIC & AFMC seats, an additional mop-up round will also be held after the completion of the first two rounds of centralized counselling.

NEET 2019 counselling process

The counselling process would include a number of steps like:

  1. Registration - At the time of registration, the candidate will have to fill in academic and personal details, and also NEET related information.

  2. Payment of counselling fee - Next, the counselling fee has to be paid. Note that depending on the category and institute applied for admission, the fee may vary.

  3. Filling and locking of choices - Successfully registered candidates will be required to participate in choice filling process; non-participation may lead to disqualification. Choices should be entered in the order of priority.

  4. Allotment of seats - Seats will be allotted separately for each round of counselling and will be based on both the merit rank of the candidate and choices opted for admission.

  5. Reporting at allotted institute - Finally the candidate has to report at the allotted college to complete admission formalities.

The result of NEET 2019 was declared on June 5 in the form of score cards containing details like the name and roll number of the candidate, subject-wise and total marks, AIR and category rank. Additionally, it also contained category-wise qualifying percentile and score. Candidates can therefore check their qualifying status by referring their NEET 2019 score cards. And all qualified candidates who want to participate in centralized counselling need to get registered before the last date, or else they will not be considered for admission.

Please note that counselling for 85% state quota seats and admission to private colleges will be conducted by the respective state counselling authorities.
