NEET MDS 2025 application still not open, dental aspirants say, ‘isn’t just stressful, but unfair’

NEW DELHI: With just 22 days left for the National Eligiility-cum-Entrance Test Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS 2025) exam, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is yet to commence the application process.

The board notified the tentative NBEMS exam calendar 2025 on November 27 last year. As per the schedule, the NEET MDS exam 2025 will be conducted on January 31. However, the application form is not yet out on the official website, natboard.edu.in.

Worried about the delay in starting NEET MDS application process 2025, aspirants criticised the “mismanagement and lack of clarity” in the examination process.

Last year, the board conducted the NEET MDS on March 18 and the registration form was published on January 30; nearly 50 days before the exam date. However, the NBEMS has still not opened the application window with just 22 days left for this year’s exam.

The board is expected to notify the NEET MDS information brochure 2025 along with the registration form on the official portals, natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in. Candidates are usually given a specific time period to correct the details in the application. After which, the NEET MDS admit card 2025 is issued for eligible candidates.

The board had extended the NEET MDS cut-off date for completion of internship from March 31 to June 30 last year and reopened the application window for a period of three days for eligible candidates to apply. However, there is no clarity on the registration and internship cut-off dates for the NEET MDS 2025 yet.

“If you ever feel angry on authorities for blunders on NEET PG, just think that NEET MDS is scheduled on 31 January (22 days from today), but NBEMS hasn't yet started application forms,” an aspirant wrote on X.

“NEET MDS 2025 is scheduled for 31st January—just 22 days away—but NBEMS hasn’t even started the application process yet. This level of mismanagement isn’t just stressful; it’s unfair to aspirants who deserve clarity and respect for their hard work,” another X user said.

Citing the delay in starting the registration process, some of the media reports also speculate postponement of the NEET MDS exam 2025.
