NEET PG 2025: MD fees touch Rs 91 lakh for NRIs at 10 Tamil Nadu private medical colleges

The Directorate of Medical Education and Research selection committee has announced the revised fee structure for clinical and non-clinical programmes at 26 private and self-financing medical colleges, along with the Tamil Nadu NEET PG round 2 provisional seat allotment results 2025.
The cost of pursuing an MD or MS degree under the NRI quota continues to remain steep, with the total expenditure likely to reach nearly Rs 90-91 lakh once hostel and living expenses are added, as per the latest mandatory fee disclosure submitted by private and self-financing medical colleges in Tamil Nadu.
As per the Tamil Nadu NEET PG round 2 seat allotment 2025, a total of 1,454 candidates have been allotted government quota seats, 519 candidates under the management quota, and seven have been allotted DNB Broad Specialty Post MBBS, and post diploma seats.
NRI quota fees remain high at Tamil Nadu colleges
Under the NRI quota, several private medical colleges — Madha Medical College, Velammal Medical College, Tagore Medical College, Sri Muthukumaran Medical College, KMCH Institute of Medical College, and Karpaga Vinayaga Institute of Medical Sciences — have fixed tuition fees at Rs 29 lakh per annum for clinical MD, MS courses and Rs 19 lakh per annum for non-clinical courses.
For three-year PG medical programmes, the total tuition cost will be Rs 87-88 lakh for clinical subjects, excluding development fees and other mandatory charges. While the highest NRI quota tuition fee of Rs 29 lakh per annum is charged at 10 private medical colleges in Tamil Nadu, the total cost for the three-year MD, MS course will rise to about Rs 90-91 lakh after adding development charges and other mandatory fees.
