NEW DELHI: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has notified the special stray vacany round of the National Eligibility Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2022 counselling. MCC informed that a special stray vacancy round of counselling is being conducted to fill 2,244 PG seats and 62 MDS seats which remained vacant after the last round of NEET PG counselling 2022.
MCC has also listed down rules and eligibility to participate in the extra round of counselling according to which candidates will have to pay a refundable security deposit of Rs 50,000 to participate in the counselling. In addition to this, candidates who do not join seats allotted to them in the special round will be debarred from appearing in NEET PG 2023 exam.

“Hence, in larger interest of candidates, the competent authority has decided to conduct a special stray vacancy round for the vacant 2,244 PG (MD, MS, Diploma, PG DNB) and 62 MDS seats in an online mode as per the approval accorded by MoHFW, so that the precious seats do not go waste,” read an official MCC notification.
