NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting NEET-UG 2021 on August 1 for all eligible registered candidates in a pen-paper mode. On the basis of the NEET exam, admission will be granted to 83,075 MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, and 525 BVSc and AH seats including 1,899 AIIMS and 249 JIPMER seats will be granted.

In its official notice, NTA has also said that scores of NEET 2021 may be used for nursing admissions. More details on NEET 2021 registration, syllabus, eligibility criteria, reservation, categorization of seats, examination fee, cities of examination, state code, etc. will be released along with the official brochure at NEET official website - ntaneet.nic.in.
It is expected that NTA will be releasing the NEET application form 2021 along with the notification PDF soon. Aspirants fulfilling the NEET 2021 eligibility criteria can register themselves on or before the last date. The NEET 2021 application process includes the following steps: registration to generate login credentials, filling up the application form, uploading required documents, and payment of the application fee.

With the announcement of the exam date, NTA has confirmed that the NEET-UG will be held in pen-paper mode and also clarified that this year medical entrance test will not be conducted twice. As per the previous year’s trends, the NEET exam will be of three-hour-long duration, where candidates must answer 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from physics, chemistry, and biology subjects as per the given NEET syllabus.
As per the official NEET marking scheme 2021, four marks to be awarded for the correct answer, while one mark to be deducted for the wrong attempt.
