NEET UG 2025 exam today; things to carry, timings, guidelines

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2025 exam today, May 4. Candidates are advised to carry their NEET admit card 2025 and identity proof to the exam centres for verification purposes. Candidates should reach the NEET 2025 exam centres atleast one hour before the exam begins to avoid any last-minute rush. NEET UG 2025 live updates.

NEET UG 2025 exam will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm. Candidates will have to enter the NEET exam hall at 1:30 and the test booklet will be handed over to students 15 minutes before the exam begins.

Over 24 lakh candidates will appear for the medical entrance exam. The NEET UG 2025 exam will be held in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Oriya, Kannada, Punjabi, Malayalam, and Urdu. The paper will comprise 180 questions in total of 720 marks.

As per the NEET UG 2025 marking scheme, candidates will be given four marks for each correct answer, and one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

Candidates are only allowed to carry mandatory documents such as NEET 2025 admit card, passport-size photograph, a valid ID proof, and PwD certificates if applicable.

NEET UG 2025: General guidelines

Candidates are advised to adhere to all the instructions for the smooth conduct of the NEET UG 2025 exam. A few important instructions to follow are given below.

• Candidates will be allotted a seat as per their roll number, and they have to find their designated seat at the exam hall.
• Candidates are advised to maintain an upright and firm posture as they will be under surveillance during the exam.
• Candidates should enter the exam centre as per the scheduled time slot; after which, no entry will be allowed.
• There will no no safekeeping facilities at the exam centre. Candidates should avoid bringing prohibited items to the exam centre.
• Candidates should only bring their ID proof and other required documents, such as a hall ticket, to the exam room.
• Candidates have to hand over their OMR sheets to the exam invigilator before leaving the hall.
