NEET UG 2025: The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test - undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 exam ends. The NEET exam 2025 was held from 2 pm to 5 pm, and the exam duration was three hours. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the NEET 2025 for 22.7 lakh MBBS aspirants today. NEET UG 2025 exam analysis and unofficial answer keys will be available soon for candidates.
Candidates were asked to carry NEET UG admit card 2025 and self-declaration form downloaded from the official website, neet.nta.nic.in along with a postcard size photo.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET 2025 with strict security measures implemented by the ministry of education. NEET is the single-largest medical entrance examination held in India. This year, the NTA will administer the MBBS entrance exam in pen-and-paper format. Students will have to attempt a total of 180 compulsory questions within 3 hours duration. Scoring 99 percentile or above 700 out of the total 720 NEET marks will increase the chances of getting an MBBS seat in government medical colleges in India.
The NEET question paper 2025 will be divided into three sections - physics, chemistry, and biology - the first two sections will carry 45 questions each, and the third will be divided into two parts, zoology and botany, which will carry 90 questions. The NEET optional questions introduced during the pandemic, which was earlier available in Section B, are now removed.

NEET UG 2025 exam ends. Updates on exam timings, neet.nta.nic.in hall ticket, question paper pattern, dress code for male and female, marking scheme, frisking, documents required for exam hall, top medical colleges in India, passing marks, expected cut-off, answer key, and more.
This year, more than 20 lakh students appeared for the medical exam held at over 5,4000 exam centres today, as per NTA. Over 22.7 lakh had registered for the exam, and it was also held at 14 cities outside the country.
As per DT Next reports, a 17-year-old NEET aspirant died by suicide at her residence in Melmaruvathur at Chengalpattu district, early on Sunday morning, before her exam. According to the report, the student's father met with a road accident a few years back and has been confined to home since then, while her mother worked as a private school teacher.
Another 20-year-old student from Maharashtra died by suicide in the Bodhe Nagar area where he was staying for his studies, said police.
According to the ETV Bharat reports, a student from Parasala in Thiruvananthapuram was caught with a fake NEET UG admit card 2025 at the NEET-UG exam centre at Pathanamthitta today. The student's mother, who accompanied him to the centre, was also questioned by police. As per the student, an employee of Neyyattinkara Akshaya Center had allegedly cheated him by giving him a forged NEET 2025 hall ticket. The Neyyattinkara police will soon also interrogate the Akshaya Center employee to enquire whether the NEET hall ticket was tampered with by him.

According to students' reactions and subject teachers' experts, the physics paper was difficult this year, while the chemistry and biology papers were moderate in difficulty level.
NEET 2025, as per students' reaction, the NEET 2025 physics paper was moderate in difficulty level, while the biology section was the easiest. As per the marking scheme, candidates will be given four marks for each correct answer, and one mark will be deducted for every incorrect response.

According to the official statement of Motion Education, the biology section paper was aligned with with NCERT syllabus, and questions were mainly conceptual, to evaluate students' understanding. "The Physics and Chemistry sections were the actual test of mettle, labelled as AIIMS-level by most, filled with multi-step questions, cumbersome calculations, and situation-based reasoning," the official statement said.
Also, the physics questions were time-consuming due its the complex nature of the problems, especially in topics like modern physics, electrodynamics, and thermodynamics.
Students who did not appear for the NEET UG 2025 exam this year can opt for the courses if they have qualified for Class 12 with PCB to PCM subjects. Few universities and state governments conduct entrance exams for BSc nursing admissions. The list of courses and their eligibility is given below.

NEET UG 2025 exam was held today for over 22 lakh MBBS aspirants. Despite the strict measures taken by MoE, students at various exam centres had to face delays, mismanagement, and widespread distress at the exam centre. Many students had to face issues with biometrics, while a few had to wait in long queues in the sun for hours, causing them sunstroke. The chaos at the NEET exam centres affected students one year long preparation as well as the sanctity of the national-level entrance test.

As per the expert Keshav Agarwal's analysis, the overall NEET cut-off will be low, and last year, 81,000 had 600 plus compared to 2023 when only 29,000 could score 600 plus, and this year, around 15,000 to 20,000 should be scoring 600 plus, or maybe less than that. NTA has shown students the NEET level and which is above that of when CBSE used to conduct the exam, he adds.
According to Keshav Agarwal, the NEET UG difficulty level analysis for all subjects is as follows.
According to the Allen Career Institute director, Brajesh Maheshwari, the NEET UG paper was tougher than the previous year. As per students' feedback physics paper was of a high standard, which can be called tough. Apart from this, the Chemistry paper was lengthy, in which questions of multiple correct orders were included in the paper. This year, students were also seen getting confused. He adds: "Along with this, the Botany and Zoology paper was also lengthy. In such a situation, it took more time to solve the paper. Due to the implementation of the pre-Covid pattern in the exam and the level of the paper being difficult, it can be said that scoring very high will be difficult for the students as compared to previous years."

Students who appeared for the exam can check the updates on the NEET 2025 key answer and calculate their probable scores using the marking scheme. As per the marking scheme, candidates will be given four marks for each correct answer, and one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
Devisha also said there was a delay at the exam centre. Many students who appeared for the exam complained that there was mismanagement at the exam centre. Devisha said: "There was a little bit of delay. They were supposed to give us the paper 10 minutes before the exam but they gave us only five minutes."
"It was tough but not very. Physics was tough, chemistry was moderate, and bio was also moderate," said Devisha, a student who appeared for the NEET UG exam 2025 . She adds: "For me, about 78% of the paper was doable."

Another student from Delhi, Vasu Goyal said: "When I first got the qeustion paper, I was nervous but once I read it, I found it easy. The paper was easy but time-consuming. Physics took nearly one-and-a-half hours. Chemistry was also average - took about 45 minutes."

Maryam from Saket found the NEET UG 2025 paper "moderate" overall. "Biology and zoology were easy but yes, chemistry and physics were slightly hard. Three hours were enough - in fact, I completed with half-an-hour to spare....NEET has a reputation for being very tough but it's not that difficult. If you're confident enough, you can do it," she said.

According to a student who appeared for the NEET UG 2025 exam fainted inside the exam centre because of how long the staff took to take pics and fingerprints at the exam centres.

"The exam centre delayed the entry. I had 300-400 kids in front of me but they were taking long to take our photos and their tabs [tablet PCs] were not working. I literally fainted inside, it was so hot. They hadn't made arrangements. Exam can be offline but it must be managed properly," added Shefali Agarwal.
According to a student from Dabri, Shefali Aaggrwal said, "Physics was hard. The questions were out-of-the-box and lengthy - they'd take time to read. Chemistry and biology were easy. I just found physics difficult."
As per the students ' reactions who appeared for the NEET UG 2025 said the physics paper was the toughest, whereas the biology paper was easy.
"The exam was slightly difficult, physics was very tough and biology was easy. I've attempted but I'll have to see how I've done. Chemistry and bio were fine," said Aditya from RK Puram, Delhi.

According to a student Shweta, who appeared for the exam, said her exam went well,l and this was her first attempt. "Biology was easiest and physics the hardest," she said. "I did chemistry last, and because of that had to leave two questions.
According to a student's reactions, the physics was tough, biology and chemistry were easy.
Students who appeared for the exam will share their responses and memory-based questions. By which, subject teacher experts will be able to prepare unofficial answer keys, and students can calculate their probable scores.
Students will have access to the NEET exam 2025 question paper with solutions, by which they will be able to calculate their probable scores for admission to top MBBA colleges across the country. NTA will soon publish the provisional answer key, response sheet, along with question papers for candidates. Candidates not satisfied with the provisional answer key can raise objections on the official website once the date is announced.

The Karnataka government has urged the National Medical Commission (NMC) to increase UG medical seats across the country. Recently, the minister for medical education and skill development, Sharan Prakash Patil, sent a formal proposal to NMC for seeking approval of 800 additional UG seats and around 600 PG medical seats in Karnataka starting this year. Just as previous year, several students missed their NEET UG 20205 exam due to traffic on the way to the exam centres. Students in Aligarh were stuck in a traffic jam just to cover 500 metres and 1 kilometer due to mismanagement.

Two police officers at separate NEET UG exam centres 2025 helped candidates take exam who were about to miss it due to wrong centre and dress code. Meanwhile, some parents complained that the police on duty did not allow water bottles inside the exam hall and and some allowed examinees without a biometric verification due to shortage of staff and time. On the other hand, two aspirants arrived late and were not given entry.

NEET exam passing marks are basically NEET UG cut-off which will be announced after NEET UG 2025 results. Last year, NEET UG passing marks were 720-137 for the general category and 136-107 for SC, ST, and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates.

"There was a shortage of staff over here and so, the biometric verification took a lot of time. The students stood out in the sun for close to one-and-a-half hours. Once they realised that the exam time is approaching, they allowed the candidates to go inside without biometric checking. I want to know if they'll do the verification inside the exam hall and if so, whether they'll get extra time, " said a parent at a Sainik Vikar centre in Delhi.

RTI activist Vivek Pandey shared a probable NEET paper leak case on social media wherein a NEET UG 2025 aspirant accused another candidate to be involved in tampering of OMR sheet. In an act of kindness, a police officer came to rescue of a NEET UG 2025 candidate who was not following NEET dress code for female 2025. The female candidate was reportedly wearing clothes with too many buttons. A female police officer took the MBBS aspirant on her two-wheeler and got her new clothes.

NTA has revised NEET UG 2025 tie-breaking rule, as per which, an independent expert committee will resolve the tie between two candidates who score the same marks through a 'random process'. This will be the last step in NEET tie-breaking rule 2025 when all other criteria are exhausted.

NTA announced five major changes in NEET UG 2025 including modifications in NEET exam pattern 2025. As per the revised NEET UG 2025 exam pattern, optional questions have been removed from section B and now examinees will be required to attempt all questions in that section without any choice.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2025) is a pen and paper based exam, which will be conducted in a single shift from 2 pm to 5 pm tomorrow, May 4. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the NEET UG exam once an year for admission to medical programmes in institutions or colleges across the country.
