JAIPUR: A CBI team visited the house of arrested accused persons in Jamwaramgarh here on Thursday to investigate the NEET UG 2026 paper leak case, officials said. Police said the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) recorded the statements of the accused Mangilal Biwal's and Dinesh Biwal's family members in connection with the case and stayed at the house for nearly three hours.
Police said another arrested accused Vikas Biwal is also from the same family. The CBI arrested five persons, including three from Jaipur on Wednesday. Among those arrested are three persons from Jaipur: Mangilal Biwal, Vikas Biwal, and Dinesh Biwal, along with Yash Yadav from Gurugram and Shubham Khairnar from Nashik.
On Tuesday, the National Testing Agency (NTA) cancelled the May 3 National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 examination. The Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG) had detained more than 150 people, including candidates and their family members in the paper leak case.
After the exam was cancelled, a CBI inquiry was ordered, and the agency took over the case on Tuesday.
