The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will commence the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 counselling round 1 from July 21 for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other allied medical courses. Candidates seeking admission under the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) in government medical and dental colleges will be required to register on the official website, mcc.nic.in.
Some states have already begun the admission process for NEET UG 2025. Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Assam have released their respective merit lists, outlining the names of eligible candidates for MBBS, BDS and other medical course admissions under the state quota.
In a recent update, the Madhya Pradesh High Court reserved its verdict on the plea seeking a re-exam for NEET UG 2025 candidates affected by a power outage at exam centres in Indore and Ujjain. The NEET UG 2025 result was declared on June 15, with over 12.36 lakh candidates qualifying.
The MCC NEET UG counselling 2025 for 15% AIQ seats is domicile-free. On Tuesday, the MCC instructed candidates under the children/widows of armed forces personnel (CW) category to submit the required documents to apply for 85% Delhi quota seats. It also stated that the NEET counselling “is likely to start soon”.
This year, a total of 22,09,318 candidates appeared for the NEET 2025 exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), of which 12,36,531 were qualified to pursue medical courses in the academic year 2025-26.
As per the fee structure for NEET counselling, the registration fee for 15% for AIQ, central universities seats for general and EWS candidates is Rs 1,000 and for SC ST, OBC, and PwD candidates will have to pay Rs 500.
Those applying for deemed universities, candidates will have to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 5,000 and a security deposit of Rs 2 lakh.
The complete NEET UG counselling dates 2025 have been announced. There will be a total of four rounds of counselling - round 1, round 2, round 3, and a stray vacancy round.

Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Telangana has released the NEET UG 2025 merit list. A total of 43,400 candidates have been shortlisted for MBBS and BDS counselling.
