Punjab government recently increased the MBBS, BDS fee and introduced a two-year bond policy, sparking an outrage amongst aspirants and medical interns who launched protests and shut down Out Patient Departments (OPD). A service bond of Rs 2 lakh will be levied on MBBS, BDS students admitted under both state quota and All India Quota (AIQ). The duration of Punjab MBBS bond will be one year for AIQ and two years for state quota candidates.

Candidates who have applied for Tamil Nadu NEET UG counselling 2025 under the eminent sports person category for admissions to MBBS, BDS programmes will be required to bring original sports certificates along with the NEET UG 2025 scorecard during the physical verification of documents. DME has issued the schedule for certificate verification of such students on tnmedicalselection.net.

The Medical Counselling Committee will conduct four rounds of NEET UG counselling 2025 based on the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2025. The committee may announce further rounds in case of vacant seats.

Several doctors have criticised the Puducherry government guidelines for NEET UG counselling 2025 and termed them as 'discriminatory, unlawful, and dehumanising' for PwD candidates. The NEET UG 2025 result was declared on June 15, with around 12.36 lakh candidates qualifying for admission to MBBS, BDS and other medical courses across the country. MBBS seats at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) campuses nationwide, as well as at the Puducherry and Karaikal campuses of JIPMER, will be allotted through MCC’s centralised NEET UG 2025 counselling. All AIIMS seats will be filled under the open category as part of this counselling process.

The NEET 2025 cut-off for admission to MBBS courses in government medical colleges has been announced along with the NEET UG result. Candidates can check the qualifying percentile and corresponding scores to know their eligibility for government MBBS seats.

The Madhya Pradesh High Court has reserved its verdict on the plea seeking a re-test for candidates affected by a power outage in Indore and Ujjain centres during NEET UG 2025. The NTA has opposed the re-exam, pointing to high scorers from the affected centres, including a candidate who secured AIR 2.

Several states, including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Assam, have already begun their NEET UG 2025 counselling process and released their state-wise merit lists. These lists will be used to allot seats under the state quota in government and private medical colleges. Candidates can check the NEET UG 2025 merit list for their respective states on the official websites of the concerned state counselling authorities.

The ACPUGMEC has opened the registration for Gujarat NEET UG 2025 counselling on medadmgujarat.org. Candidates aiming for admission to MBBS, BDS, Ayurvedic and Homoeopathy courses will have to purchase a PIN before registering. The deadline to complete the Gujarat NEET counselling registration process is July 18.

As part of the NEET UG 2025 counselling process, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) allots seats in several central universities across the country. This includes 100 per cent MBBS and BDS seats at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), open quota MBBS seats at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), and BDS seats under the Faculty of Dentistry at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI). Additionally, 15 percent of the All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS and BDS seats at the University of Delhi (DU) and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IP University) are also filled through MCC counselling.

KNRUHS has issued the Telangana NEET merit list 2025 and a total of 43,000 candidates have been selected for MBBS, BDS admissions through NEET UG counselling 2025.

ACPUGMEC has opened the Gujarat NEET UG 2025 counselling registration portal at medadmgujarat.org. To register, candidates will have to purchase a PIN by paying Rs 1,000. The last date to register for the Gujarat NEET UG counselling is July 18, while document verification will continue till July 19. The merit list will be published after the verification process, followed by the choice-filling round for seat allotment.

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh will conduct the MP NEET 2025 counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions. The detailed schedule will be released soon on the official website — dme.mponline.gov.in. The MP NEET UG counselling process will include registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification and reporting to the allotted college.

DME Assam has published the NEET UG 2025 merit list for MBBS and BDS admissions. The merit list can be downloaded from the official website at dme.assam.gov.in. A total of 19,809 candidates have been included in the Assam NEET merit list 2025. These candidates are now eligible to participate in the Assam NEET counselling process for admission to government and private medical and dental colleges across the state.

The NEET 2025 cut-off for government MBBS colleges is the minimum score required for admission and will be announced by the respective institutes after counselling. The previous year's cut-off can be checked in the table below.

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will close the NEET UG counselling registration window on July 10 at 11 am. This registration is meant for NEET UG 2025 qualified candidates who had not earlier registered for Karnataka UGCET. Eligible candidates can apply on the official website — cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

Medical aspirants who fulfil their respective state’s eligibility and domicile criteria will be allowed to take part in the NEET 2025 counselling process conducted by their state authorities. However, students from other states can seek admission under the management quota and NRI seats, as per the provisions laid out by the respective state counselling bodies. Candidates from Jammu and Kashmir who meet the eligibility requirements can also apply for All India NEET counselling.

NEET qualified students who don't get admissions to MBBS seats in medical seats get in nursing courses, keeping it as the last option, observed the principal of a nursing training institute.

The Department of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh will conduct the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG counselling 2025 for admission to MBBS, BDS programmes offered by state colleges. Eligible aspirants will have to apply for MP NEET UG counselling 2025 on the official website, dme.mponline.gov.in.

For the general category candidates, NEET UG cut-off marks 2025 have dropped from last year's 720-162 to 686–144. As per the NEET 2025 exam passing marks out of 720, aspirants belonging to the general category are required to score 50th percentile.

Last year, the highest NEET UG cut-off for candidates belonging to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) was 2927 at AIIMS Patna. As per the NEET reservation policy, 10% of seats in all courses are reserved for such students.

Gujarat NEET UG counselling 2025 registration has started and aspirants can apply on the official website, medadmgujarat.org. Students will be required to purchase a pin by paying Rs 1,000 along with a refundable security deposit of Rs 10,000.

The fee structure for NEET UG counselling 2025 under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and central universities will be announced along with the information bulletin. As per previous trends, unreserved category candidates are expected to pay a non-refundable counselling fee of Rs 1,000 and a refundable security deposit of Rs 10,000. For SC, ST, OBC, and PwD candidates, the non-refundable fee is likely to be Rs 500, with a refundable security deposit of Rs 5,000.

NEET UG 2025 qualified candidates who missed applying through the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will get a second chance to register from July 7 to July 10. This will be the final opportunity to be considered for MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses in the state.

The list, available on dme.assam.gov.in, includes details like roll number, category, total marks, percentile and NEET rank. Candidates named in the list will be eligible for the upcoming state counselling. The detailed NEET 2025 counselling date will be announced soon by the Medical Counselling Committee.

Dr NTR University of Health Sciences, Andhra Pradesh has released the AP NEET UG 2025 provisional merit list for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses. Candidates can check and download the list from drntr.uhsap.in. Candidates whose names appear in the merit list are eligible to participate in the state counselling process. The list mentions NEET roll number, rank and scores, and has been prepared based on candidates’ performance in NEET UG 2025.
