NEW DELHI: The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2025 registration will begin today, February 17, 2025. Eligible aspirants will be able to fill the NEST application form 2025 through the official website, nestexam.in. The last date to apply for the exam is May 9, 2025.
NEST exam 2025 will be conducted on June 22, 2025 for admission to the five-year integrated MSc programmes in biology, physics, chemistry, and mathematics at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) and University of Mumbai - Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-CEBS).
Candidates who have passed Class 12 examination or equivalent in 2023, 2024 or those who will be appearing for Class 12 or equivalent in 2025 are eligible to apply. Students must have scored at least 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade (55% for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories and disabled candidates). There is no upper age limit for appearing in the exam.
The application fee for male candidates belonging to the general and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories is Rs 1,400. SC, ST, disabled, and all female applicants will have to pay Rs 700 to fill the registration form.
NEST 2025 will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) from 9 am to 12:30 pm. The question paper will be divided into four sections comprising multiple choice questions on biology, physics, chemistry, and mathematics. Each section will contain 20 questions carrying 60 marks. Candidates will be awarded three marks for each correct answer while one mark will be deducted for wrong answer.
