The application process is underway, and the deadline for submitting the application form is March 26. The selection of the candidate will be done via GATE 2023 score, Group Discussion, and Personal Interview.
NHPC Trainee Engineer selection process
Candidates will be shortlisted for group discussion and personal interview based on their normalised marks out of 100 in GATE 2023 only and as per the criteria decided by the Management. Candidates must have qualified and secured a valid score in the corresponding paper of GATE 2023.

The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill 269 trainee engineer vacancies in the department. Candidates belonging to the general, EWS, OBC, NCL category are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 600. While the application fees for SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-servicemen and Women candidates need not pay the NHPC recruitment registration fee.
NHPC Application 2024: Documents required
Scanned copy of your passport-size colour photograph in JPG/JPEG format (Size between 25 KB to 50 KB)
JPG or JPEG formatted scanned copy of your signature (size ranging from 15 KB to 30 KB)
All necessary scanned documents ready in pdf format in size from 100 KB to 400 KB.
Interested candidates must have a degree in engineering, technology, BSc (engineering) in the relevant subject from a recognised University. Apart from this the candidate should not be more than 30 years.
