Download EBookNEW DELHI: The National Institute of Design is conducting the NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) 2021 today, March 14, in offline mode in 23 cities. Students appearing for NID DAT 2021 were seen wearing COVID 19 protective items such as face masks/shields and hand gloves. Aspiring candidates reported to the exam venue 2 hours before the commencement of the exam. The entry gate was closed 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam. No candidates were allowed to enter the test centres after the entry gate was closed under any circumstances.

Candidates were allowed to enter the examination venue only after the verification of identification and thermal screening. It has been observed that COVID 19 SOP is being strictly followed at multiple exam centres.
No entry without the NID DAT 2021 admit card
The test-centres staff verified the NID DAT admit card 2021 of the candidates with the identification proof brought by them at the entry gate and allowed entry only after ensuring that details mentioned in their admit card matched with the ID proof. None of the candidates was allowed to enter the examination hall without the hall ticket and original copy of the identity card.
NID DAT 2021 - COVID 19 guidelines implemented
Candidates were allowed to enter the test centres only after sanitizing their hands and thermal screening. Social distancing norms as per the Government guidelines were observed at the exam test. However, students showing COVID 19 symptoms such as mild fever, cough etc were not allowed to enter the exam venue. No refreshments were provided by the test centre authorities due to the prevailing situation of COVID 19.
What after NID DAT - Prelims exam?
The National Institute of Design will release the NID DAT 2021 answer key soon after the prelims exam. The shortlisted students will be called for the mains exam which consists of a studio test and personal interview. NID admission 2021 for BDes and MDes programmes will be wholly conducted through NID Design Aptitude Test.
