Try NowThe National Institute of Design (NID) will close the NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) 2026 application today, December 1. Candidates can apply for NID DAT 2026 on the official website, admissions.nid.edu. The NID DAT 2026 application correction window will open from December 2 to 4.
NID DAT 2026 prelims exam is scheduled on December 21.
Once the NID DAT application 2026 correction window opens, candidates will be able to make corrections in the application form, if any. However, modifications such as eligibility, date of birth, email, category, and citizenship will not be permitted.
NID DAT design entrance exam is conducted for admission to Bachelor of Design (BDes) and Master of Design (MDes) courses. NID DAT design entrance will be held in two stages, prelims and mains. Candidates will have to qualify for the prelims stage to appear for the mains exam.
The NID DAT 2026 mains exam will be held in offline mode at NID campuses, including NID Ahmedabad, NID Gandhinagar, and NID Bengaluru.
NID DAT 2026 prelims paper
NID DAT 2026 prelims paper evaluates the candidates' aptitude for design, observation, creativity, and communication skills. The part A paper will include 19 questions of 25 marks, and part B consists of 5 questions comprising 75 total marks.
