NIFT 2022: Registration to start soon at nift.ac.in; Know eligibility and how to apply

NEW DELHI: The National Institute of Fashion Technology will soon open the online registration portal for NIFT entrance exam 2022 for BDes, BFTech, MDes, MFtech and MFM admission at NIFT campuses. NIFT application form 2022 will be available online on the official website nift.ac.in. Interested candidates who have passed or appearing 10+2 exam in 2022 can fill the NIFT registration form.

Who can fill the NIFT 2022 application form

Design aspirants wishing to appear in the NIFT entrance exam are required to meet the stated NIFT eligibility criteria. Candidates must check the NIFT 2022 eligibility criteria before filling the application form. NIFT eligibility criteria 2022 for UG design programmes are as follows.

• Applicants must pass a 10+2 board exam or equivalent from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination.

• Applicants appearing the 10+2 exam or equivalent in 2022 are eligible to apply for the NIFT entrance exam.

• General category and OBC - NCL candidates' maximum age must be less than 24 years as on August 1, 2022.

• SC/ST/PwD candidates get relaxation of the 5 year upper age limit.

NIFT 2022 registration process can be done online by visiting the official website - nift.ac.in. Candidates are advised to keep the required documents and enclosures to avoid unnecessary delays while filling the NIFT application form. Applicants can complete the NIFT registration process for the application fee. NIFT registration fee can be paid online through payment gateway. The National Institute of Fashion Technology is one of the leading design education and research institutes in India. At present, NIFT holds 12 positions among the fashion institutes around the world and has 17 campuses across the country. The design courses offered at NIFT campuses include Bachelor of Design (BDes), Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech), Master of Design (MDes), Master of Fashion Management (MFM) and Master of Fashion Technology (MFTech).

NIFT entrance exam is conducted every year at national level to shortlist candidates for design admission at NIFT campuses. The design entrance exam is usually conducted in January in pen and paper mode. However, in 2021, NIFT entrance exam was delayed for a month and conducted on February 14 due to COVID 19 pandemic.
