Eligible candidates can fill out the NIFT 2025 application form through the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT. The NIFT Entrance Exam 2025 is conducted for admission into Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG) programmes (regular, NLEA, artisans) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) offered by 18 NIFT campuses across the country.
As per the schedule on admission guidelines PDF, the last date to register for the Bachelor of Design (BDes) under the artisan category and for PhD programme is February 28, 2025. The last date to register for the UG, PG programmes for NRI, foreign students is April 30, 2025.
NIFT Entrance Exam 2025: Registration fee
Candidates belonging to the open, other backward classes (OBC), and economically weaker section (EWS) categories will have to pay an application fee of Rs 3,000 to register for the NIFT 2025 exam. Candidates from the scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), and persons with disability (PwD) categories are required to pay Rs 1,500.
Candidates who missed registering for the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) 2025 entrance exam by the deadline will have another opportunity to complete the registration. They can fill out the NIFT 2025 application form by paying a late fee of Rs 5,000, in addition to the applicable application fee, from January 7, 2025, to January 9, 2025. The registered candidates will be able to make changes to their application through the correction facility from January 10 to January 12, 2025.

NIFT 2025: Mode, medium of exam
As per the official notification, the General Ability Test (GAT) will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode, while the Creative Ability Test (CAT) will be held in pen-and-paper-based test (PBT) mode.
The GAT paper will be conducted in bilingual format i.e. Hindi and English. Candidates will have to answer in the medium as per the option exercised in the application form. “In case of any ambiguity between Hindi and English versions due to translation, the English version would be treated as final,” the official notice read.
