NIT Hamirpur placement 2021: Students get record salary package of over Rs 1 crore

NEW DELHI: Students of National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, were offered highest salary packages of over Rs 1 crore by international companies during the NIT Hamirpur placement drive 2021.

Nishant Handa, a student of BTech Computer Science and Electronic Engineering grabbed a package of Rs 1.51 crore per annum from a US company, Bloomberg. Sabhya Sood of Computer Science and Electronics Engineering was offered a package of Rs 1.09 crore from Amazon, UK, after internship. Lalit Kumar Awasthi, director of NIT Hamirpur congratulated students and said that a total of 11 students were hired by Amazon India at a package of Rs 32 lakh.

“50 more students of the batch of 2021-22 were offered a package of Rs 16 lakh and above by organisations like Mathworks, Texas Instruments, Siemens Healthineers, Avalara, Paytm, Samsung, Increff etc,” as per Tribune India report.

Around 330 students from different BTech/ Dual Degree Engineering Programmes were placed in reputed organisations in the first three months of the NIT Hamirpur placement drive 2021.

The report further said that the placement session of NIT Hamirpur was held in July. “He said despite the pandemic, over 60 companies had conducted their recruitment drive through online mode till now” the report added.
