NIMCET 2026 counselling registration, choice filling deadline extended to July 4; schedule

Candidates must pay a Rs 1,000 registration fee to complete the process, while admissions will be conducted in three rounds
The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Tiruchirappalli has extended the NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) 2026 counselling registration and choice filling deadline to July 4, 2026 till 5 pm. Applicants can register and fill out their choices on the official website of NIMCET at nimcet.admissions.nic.in.
To register for the counselling, candidates can enter login details, including application number and password. The NIMCET 2026 counselling process will take place in three regular rounds, followed by a special round if seats remain vacant.
The round 1 allotment result will be out on July 6, 2026 at 6 pm. Candidates allotted a seat through NIMCET 2026 counselling will be required to report to their allotted institute with all the necessary documents for verification. They must also submit proof of payment of the initial admission fee of Rs. 10,000 during the reporting process.

To register, aspirants need to follow the steps mentioned below:
- Visit the official website of NIMCET at nimcet.admissions.nic.in
- On the homepage, click on the ‘Registration and Choice Filling for NIMCET Counselling 2026’ link
- Enter the details, including application number, password, and security pin
- Now, fill out the registration form, upload the documents (if required), make the payment and submit
- Candidates can submit their choices of Institutes in the order of their preferences
- Download the confirmation page and take a printout for further reference

NIMCET Counselling 2026: Fee payment rules
After completing the registration process, candidates are required to pay a counselling registration fee of Rs. 1,000. Only those who successfully make the payment will be allowed to fill their preferred institute choices. The fee can be paid online using debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
