NIT Trichy to host Festember 2024 next week; ‘Deccan Odyssey’ is this year’s theme

NIT Trichy: Festember 2024 will be held from September 26 to 29 and include workshops, events, guest lectures, and more.
NEW DELHI : The National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli, (NIT Trichy), is set to host the highly-anticipated cultural festival ‘Festember 2024’ following a ‘Deccan Odyssey’ theme this year. The festival will begin on September 26 and will continue for three days, till September 29. It is one of India’s most celebrated cultural festivals and the ‘Deccan Odyssey’ theme aims to continue to “elevate the legacy”, a statement from NIT Trichy said.
The Festember festival will showcase diverse activities including – “electrifying shows, captivating events, thought-provoking workshops, and inspiring guest lectures from renowned artists and industry leaders,” the announcement said.
The festival has a footfall of about 18,000 students from 500 different institutions. Festember allows students to network and also showcase their talent, the statement from NIT Trichy added.

Festember Festival over the years
Festember has continued to stun its audiences with its line-up of artists. “Be it grooving to the tunes of Benny Dayal and Amit Trivedi, or listening enraptured to the melodious Shakthishree Gopalan and Neeti Mohan, the pro-shows of Festember have never failed to hit the mark, and this year is going to be no exception,” said NIT Trichy.
Some prominent personalities have attended the guest lecture series of the Festember festival in the past including Sid Sriram, an award-winning playback singer; cricketer Jonty Rhodes; and chess grandmaster Vishwanathan Anand.
Festember Festival events
The festival aims to offer a variety of events and workshops for students every year. The workshops and events are split into various clusters which attract all participants.
As per the official notice, “Innovative events continue to be launched each year, while the standard flagship events such as the fan favourite dance competition Choreonite also thrive under the wings of Festember. Every year, 5 to 6 workshops are also conducted on topics ranging from areas as diverse as Fencing to Glassblowing.”
“With each edition, Festember continues to elevate its reputation as one of the country’s premier cultural festivals, and this year’s iteration is expected to be no exception. As preparations reach their final stages, the stage is set for a truly memorable experience that will leave a lasting impact on all those who attend,” the statement from NIT Trichy added.
