NLSIU Bangalore to admit LLM students only through first two rounds of CLAT PG counselling

The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, has announced that it will only accept candidates for its Master of Laws (LLM) programme through the first two rounds of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 Postgraduate (PG) counselling process. The university will close the admission process for its LLM programme for the academic year 2025-2026 by June 30, 2025.

NLSIU has further clarified that it will not admit any candidate to the LLM programme through the third and final allotment list of the CLAT 2025 PG counselling. The decision has been taken to ensure that the academic calendar begins and proceeds without disruption.

“Admissions to the LLM Programme for Academic Year 2025-2026 at NLSIU will be concluded by June 30, 2025, at the end of the second round of CLAT 2025 PG Counselling. No candidate will be admitted to the LLM Programme at NLSIU for Academic Year 2025-2026 through the Third and Final Allotment List of CLAT 2025 PG Counselling,” the official notice said.

Prospective candidates aiming for admission to NLSIU’s LLM programme have been advised to make their choices during the first two rounds of the CLAT 2025 PG counselling in order to secure a seat at the university.

The CLAT PG 2025 first allotment list was released today, June 17, 2025. Candidates shortlisted in the first round can confirm their seats by June 20. The second allotment list will be published on June 24 at 10 am, and those allotted seats in this round can confirm their admissions from June 24 to June 27. The deadline to pay the admission fee to the allotted NLUs for both rounds is June 30, 2025.
